Israel-Day 7

What an incredible day! We left our apartment around 8:30 AM, took a taxi to the old city through the Jaffa Gate, saw the Western Wall, took a tour of the Western Wall tunnels (several stories below the actual surface of the Wall), walked through the Arab market to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, where we saw the site of Jesus' burial, ate lunch in the old city, shopped at the Cardo (a group of shops that have been restored to their appearance in Roman times), took a taxi to the King David hotel, where we had drinks on an outside deck overlooking the old city, then took in the view from nearby Hebrew Union College. We got back to the apartment about 5:30 PM and everyone was pretty tired. Jerusalem is an amazing city with so many things to see. We can't wait to continue our explorations in the coming days.
